Massachusetts Advocates for Children’s (MAC’s) mission is to be an independent and effective voice for children who face significant barriers to equal educational and life opportunities. MAC works to overcome these barriers by changing conditions for many children while also helping one child at a time.

MAC is seeking a video production intern to produce and edit informational and promotional videos. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and experience with video production for a cause-driven organization in the heart of downtown Boston. Upon successful completion, your videos will be published on our website, and may be used as part of our campaigns or events, with credit given to you!


Minimum two days per week, unpaid. Schedule is flexible.


-Compile and edit existing videos of footage taken at recent events or interviews

-Compile and edit video additional videos, under the direction of Development and Communications staff regarding content -Create two to five promotional videos, each 1-3 minutes long (MAC will provide camera.) -Film and edit interviews of staff or MAC meetings or events for sharing on web.


-Must have a demonstrated interest in videography, photography, marketing, communications, or a related field

-Knowledge of video production, editing, and publishing

-Familiarity with videography equipment

-Strong attention to detail and comfort following creative direction

-Must be comfortable interviewing a variety of subjects, including legislators and people with disabilities

-Commitment to the MAC mission

-Able to work with minimal supervision

-Experience with Vimeo a plus
