Ways to Give

Your gift to MAC removes barriers to educational opportunity and helps us create a more equitable world for all children and youth - including those who face significant barriers, inequities, or discrimination because of their economic status, disability, race, ethnicity/culture, immigration status, English Learner status, or traumatic life experiences.

All donations made to MAC are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Friends of the Autism Center

The Friends of the Autism Center provide critical financial support needed to sustain The Autism Center’s advocacy. Friends give a total of $250 or more per household each year and represent a powerful network of Massachusetts individuals who care about creating opportunities for children and young adults with autism. We are deeply grateful for your gift in any amount. Click below for more information:

Note for our Donors:

If you are 70½ or older, you can make tax-free distributions from IRA accounts (up to $100,000 a year) to qualified charitable organizations, such as MAC. In addition to being tax-free and not included in adjusted gross income, a Charitable Rollover gift may fulfill part or all of your yearly required minimum distribution (RMD). We encourage you to talk to your tax advisor before taking action.

It is likely that the tax savings from an IRA Charitable Rollover are larger than the charitable deduction from your earned income. Your tax advisor can explain the benefits of different types of IRA accounts (traditional IRA versus the Roth IRA, for example).

You can also make gifts of appreciated securities and receive tax benefits when you transfer the stocks or funds themselves to MAC.

For information about how your donation is spent, please visit our Financials page.
