50 And Forward Fund

In the fall of 2019 as it prepared for its 50th Anniversary Celebration, MAC launched the “50 and Forward Fund,” a $500,000 fundraising campaign to establish a firm financial foundation for the organization as it entered its second half-century.

As of February 2020, MAC had raised approximately $310,000 for this fund when the COVID-19 outbreak forced the organization to redirect its attention to immediate response to an unprecedented disruption of education and community life, in general.

MAC still intends to meet the 50 and Forward goal in the course of 2020. Funds will be used for new program development, such as the organization’s emerging focus on the defense of the education rights of immigrant families, and to support a capacity-building initiative to build the organizational infrastructure needed for continued advocacy success.
