MAC Honored by Boston Red Sox

In 2009, MAC was invited to an onfield presentation by the Boston Red Sox to celebrate MAC's 40th Anniversary. The following was read over the Red Sox loudspeaker while MAC staff, board, and friends accepted an award on the Fenway Park field:

"Massachusetts Advocates for Children is celebrating 40 years of effective child advocacy fighting for the rights of thousands of children excluded from equal educational opportunity, helping their parents to be strong advocates, building communities of support and establishing laws to protect them.

MAC's current work benefits all children with disabilities, children with autism, children affected by the impact of trauma, and children in the Boston Public Schools who face the challenge of the achievement gap."
