TLPI's Second Release Soars
MAC's Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative's first book, Helping Traumatized Children Learn: A Report and Policy Agenda, describes the impact of trauma on learning and proposes a policy agenda. Since its release, nearly 100,000 copies have been distributed or sold.
TLPI's second book, Helping Traumatized Children Learn II: Creating and Advocating for Trauma-Sensitive Schools, offers a guide to a process for creating trauma-sensitive schools and a policy agenda to provide the support schools need to achieve this goal. The book has been met with critical acclaim, and has seen thousands of downloads and purchases in its first few months of publication.
