Internship Opportunity - Communications
Are you looking for an opportunity to put your communications skills to work for social change?
The Communications/Design Intern is a volunteer position, 6-8 hours per week. The isntern will assist the Communications Director in the design and development of marketing and communications materials and collateral for the organization including:
Event Marketing Materials & Planning: (booklets, posters, signage)
Flyers
Website updates & Email announcements/newsletters
Infographics
Social media campaigns
Other communications materials or special projects as needed
Projects will reinforce brand image and mission of MAC’s advocacy work for children who face barriers to educational opportunities. Since 1969, MAC has been dedicated to the cause of helping one child at a time, while changing conditions for many.
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Pluses: facility with design programs such as Adobe suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, comfort level with Apple Pages. Students and career re-launchers welcome!
Additional:
This is a volunteer position, with excellent opportunities to gain real world experience in a nationally renowned nonprofit leader in child advocacy and social change. Timing of the internship will be a fixed duration contingent on the intern's schedule and needs.
