Kim Janey receives Sapphire Award
MAC Congratulates Kim Janey, recipient of a 2017 Sapphire award presented by the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity at their annual tribute to Black women leaders on Thursday, February 23. Janey was honored for her strong civic engagement, community leadership and advocacy in public education focused on closing opportunity and achievement gaps. The event was held at the John D. O'Bryant African American Institute at Northeastern University. Janey heads MAC's Boston School Reform Project and was honored along with the Honorable Gloria Fox and business leader Anna Foster.
