Carol Savage steps down as MAC’s Development Director

It is with mixed emotions that MAC announces the departure of Carol Savage as Development Director at the start of this year. Carol has chosen to pursue other state and national advocacy opportunities, continuing her commitment to equitable access to quality public education.

Carol’s talent, enthusiasm, and drive increased MAC’s fundraising capacity and revamped our development and communications efforts to increase our impact and visibility. With incredible creative vision and leadership, Carol produced four inspirational MAC galas, and her warmth and spirit won new friends and deepened relationships with MAC’s base of supporters. Carol also built up the Friends of the Autism Center to become a growing network of dedicated parents and professionals with a shared interest in advocacy for children and youth with autism. Her passion for MAC’s mission shone through in her role in developing our website and managing communications for MAC’s legislative advocacy campaigns and updates.

Commenting on her departure, Carol remarked, “It has been an honor to be a part of MAC, working with such talented advocates who dedicate themselves to eliminating barriers to opportunity for children and youth,” adding, “I will always support MAC’s critically important mission and look forward to staying in touch.”

With our deepest gratitude for her transformative impact, we wish Carol the best in her future endeavors.
