On Wednesday, June 29th community leaders held a press conference to stand in solidarity with Boston Latin School students and push for creating a more racially inclusive atmosphere at the prestigious school, particularly in light of racially charged incidents which have occurred over the past several years. Members of the group also called for an open and inclusive search process that will lead to the appointment of a headmaster, and denounced the often cited notion that racial diversity would diminish the school's academic rigor.
