District failed to provide a copy of the developed IEP following the Team meeting within required timelines.

*DESE did not investigate complaint that the IEP for SY20-21 has yet to be signed because the complaint falls outside of the one year timeline for filing PRS complaints.

Finding

Noncompliance:

District failed to provide the complete proposed IEP within the required timeframe of 2 weeks (it was sent 4 weeks) following the Team meeting.

Corrective Action

District must send a memo to all school administrators and special education staff regarding timelines for providing complete proposed IEPs by 11/1/21.

District must submit to DESE the name/title of District personnel responsible for tracking IEP documents at the student’s school by 11/1/21.
